Hello dear reader,
I hope you're keeping well and enjoying the longer days. Not long to Ostara now. Unless you're in the southern hemisphere of course, in which case I hope you're enjoying autumn's slow embrace.
It was the New Moon in Pisces on the 28th February, but the effects will still be felt for another few days. As the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces embodies themes of intuition, creativity, and emotional depth. It encourages us to connect deeply with our inner selves and align with our soul's purpose.
The imaginative nature of Pisces stimulates artistic and creative endeavours. Whether it's starting a new project or exploring different forms of expression, this New Moon provides the inspiration needed to bring creative visions to life, so this is a great time to indulge yourself.
Also because it's the end of the astrological year, it's the time to think about what we've achieved, and what we might need to let go of. This time of year for me, especially with Ostara around the corner, definitely feels like the new year far more than January does.
I've shared some tarot suggestions on Discord if you'd like to join Happenstance Book Club. There you can chat about tarot and oracle cards, and the group continues to grow. Click here to join.
Here's two suggestions for celebrating it:
Dream-Inspired Art Ritual
Since Pisces is linked to dreams and visions, let them inspire your art:
Before bed, set an intention: “I will remember a dream that holds creative inspiration.”
Keep a notebook by your bed and write down whatever you recall in the morning.
Use the imagery from your dream to create a painting, collage, or even a short poem.
Bonus: If you don’t remember a dream, pull a tarot card and let it guide your creation.
Message from the Ocean Tarot Spread
Card 1: What inspiration is ready to surface?
Card 2: What emotions do I need to express through my art?
Card 3: How can I trust the creative process more?
Card 4: A hidden message from my intuition.
I am over halfway through Wolfshot, Storm Moon Shifters #3, now, and it's rollicking along. I you haven't pre-ordered it yet, make sure you do, because it's going to be awesome! Pre-order links are here.
Also plans for the Kickstarter are moving on, and reviews for my short story, Night of the Wilding, are wonderful. Thanks ARC team!
I have updated one of my old blog posts and shared it to Substack with some changes, so I'll give you the link. I think you'll enjoy it, if only for some old photos of me that will make you giggle. It's called About A Girl: What Chris Cornell means to me. I'd love you to join me on Substack, so please subscribe. It's a lovely platform with lots of great posts.
About a Girl
I’m in the process of moving many of my blog posts to Substack from my old website, as well as producing new content. This post was first published on my website just after Chris Cornell died in 2017, and it examines how my experiences in the late 80’s and 90’s shaped who I am now. I have made a few minor changes, and added an additional note at the end…
Witchy Bookworm Book Blast
For today only, Saturday March 1st, it's the Witchy Bookworm Book Blast. There are over 50 free witchy books, so please check them out. However, just like last time, the links to Amazon are to the US store. It's annoying, but it's out of my control. However, these books will be free everywhere. You can swap out Amazon.com in the URL to .uk and this should take you to the UK site. The same goes for other countries. Just note too that not all books are on other retailers. Hopefully you will find some great new books to read.

Wolfshot
Deep beneath London's streets, an ancient power stirs.
When members of the Storm Moon Pack begin to vanish, alpha Maverick Hale uncovers a chilling truth - someone is collecting shifters, offering them up like sacrifices of old.
Whispers spread of an underground club where some wolves go willingly, drawn by promises of power. But behind the club's glittering façade lurks something far older than London's packs.
Something ancient and hungry that remembers being worshipped by wolves.
Maverick is determined to infiltrate it. But as more shifters disappear, Maverick must face a terrifying question: in a game played by gods, what chance does even an alpha have?
The third book in the Storm Moon Shifters series will leave you breathless. If you love action-packed urban fantasy filled with colourful characters, humour, and intrigue, you will love Wolfshot.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll catch up with you in a couple of weeks.
And of course, please comment below. I always love to hear from my readers.
