Hello, and welcome to all new subscribers.
Today I have lots of news to share, including my fabulous new cover for Amber Moon: Secrets, Ink, and Firelight, audiobook samples, Kickstarter news, and the winner of the giveaway from my last newsletter. If you’re reading this in your email, you might want to head to Substack for a better experience.
Before I dive into my updates, I just want to mention gardening which I love, as I think you know. I’ve been watching the Chelsea Flower Show this week, and the wonderful gardens that are so inspiring. Watching them reminds me of when I used to go to the Gardener’s World Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Obviously the gardens weren’t on Chelsea scale, but it was lovely to wander around, gathering ideas and loading up on plants for my own garden.
I used to go with my sister and my mom, so it was also a lovely catch-up with family too. I particularly remember the fresh green scents that enveloped me as I entered the pavilions. The small displays there from the exhibiting nurseries were just divine. If you’re a gardening fan and have the opportunity to visit one of the RHS shows, I strongly recommend going. I’m now looking at some of my empty pots and have decided I must visit a garden centre and reinvigorate our garden!
I follow Jo Thompson on Substack for her fab gardening advice. She exhibited at Chelsea and designed The Glasshouse, a romantic garden full of shades of pink. It’s one of the many reasons why I love Substack. There are so many fab posts here.
Okay, on with my updates.
Books
Wolfshot, Storm Moon Shifters book 3, continues to have lots of fabulous reviews, so I’m really pleased. Thank you if you’ve reviewed. I have now bundled together the hardbacks, paperbacks, and ebooks, so you can buy the three books in the series for a great price. There will be more books in this series, and you see them all at Happenstance Books and Merch.
Amber Moon: Secrets, Ink, and Firelight, Moonfell Witches book 2, now has a cover, and once again my cover designer has nailed it! I’m really pleased with it. It’s on pre-order now, and if you order from my shop, you’ll get it a week earlier than anywhere else. I also make more money that way. Other retailers take a cut. At the moment only the eBook is on pre-order, but paperback and hardback versions will be available on release.

I am almost halfway through writing it, and am sharing work-in-progress chapters with my Ream Subscribers. I may decide to do that for paid subscribers here. Early feedback on the story is very positive, and I’m really pleased with how it’s shaping up.
What’s Amber Moon about?
When the boundary between past and present blurs on the cusp of Beltane, ancient secrets stir within the walls of Moonfell.
The three Moonfell witches discover mysterious journals and magical instruments in the long-abandoned India Room, unwittingly activating a supernatural connection to 1792 India—where their ancestor Fitz Westerly's past holds the key to their present danger.
Fitz, a powerful witch and supernatural hunter, made his fortune tracking paranormal creatures across India with his loyal companions. But when summoned to an East India Company port to hunt a deadly creature terrorising trade ships, they uncover a sinister conspiracy.
In present-day London, as unknown forces threaten their Gothic mansion on the edge of Richmond Park, the Moonfell witches turn to the Storm Moon Wolf-Shifters to help them uncover the truth.
Perfect for fans of Deborah Harkness and Nora Roberts, Amber Moon weaves historical mystery with contemporary magic in a captivating tale of family legacy, ancient power, and forbidden secrets that will keep you spellbound until the final page.
Unlock the mystery. Embrace the magic. Step into the world of the Moonfell Witches.
I have also had the first three books of the White Haven Witches translated into German, and they are on all retailers. I have added the eBooks to my shop, and today will hopefully get the paperbacks and hardbacks on there too. I am planning on translating the rest of the series, and will bring you news of that very soon.
They are called:
Verlorene Zauber, Die Hexen von White Haven 1
Ungezähmte Magie: Die Hexen von White Haven 2
Ungebändigte Magie: Die Hexen von White Haven 3
I also have interest from a Spanish translator, so we’ll see how that goes. Exciting!
Audio
Storm Moon Rising, Storm Moon Shifters Book 1, is now an audiobook narrated by the always fabulous Diana Croft. I’m selling it on my shop, it’s on YouTube, and it will be on all other retailers soon. It should be on Spotify next week, plus many others including Everand, Google Play, and eventually Audible. They are sooo slow to approve.
First chapter:
The rest of the series will follow, as will the Moonfell Witches.
Rise of the King Audiobook is on sale for a crazy cheap price on Chirp and my shop. If you’ve always wanted to read this series, or grab the audiobooks, now’s the chance. Adam Gold is a wonderful narrator.
First chapter:
Kickstarter
I’ve mentioned that I’m in a Kickstarter, and it will be live on June 1st I think, or early June. It’s called Most Wanted: An Urban Fantasy Anthology, and we’d love more support pre-launch. There are six novellas/short stories in one lovely gold-foiled edition with sprayed edges and other goodies.
My story is called Night of the Wilding which is a Storm Moon Shifters/Moonfell Witches crossover that you will love! I’m sure you’ll love all of the others too. If you’d like to read the first chapters, G Clatworthy has them on her website here.
The giveaway winner is…
Amanda Zavalov! Thanks for your comment on my post. I have emailed you for your address so that I can post your books and goodies.
This week I’m giving away a copy of Storm Moon Rising Audiobook, either via Spotify code or Bookfunnel. Please comment on this post for a chance to win. I always love to here from you. You can comment on anything from this newsletter.
I think I’ve covered everything!

I absolutely adore these books, prefer the audio as I can do my sewing at the same time. Do you plan on releasing the shifters and moonfell series on audio, I noticed there is only one of each at the moment.
I love receiving your newsletters. It is lovely to catch up with all the latest news. Whilst I am writing this, hubby has his headphones on listening to one of your Whitehaven Witches books. He loves them as much as I do. Keep up the good work, I have read all your books so far and hope you will always enjoy writing them as much as your readers love reading them. Thanks, blessings Lorraine
